RE: Closed for Track Maintenance Due to the Rain

We will continue to be closed due to the ongoing rains. At this time, we have not been able to get on the track to perform any maintainance. We need several hot, sunny days to dry out and then we will have a better idea of when we will be able to re open.

Sorry dudes, this is really a bummer. Have fun and be careful wherever you can find to ride!!!

TRAILS ARE CLOSED FOR NOW!! :(

Gang, we are so sorry to pass along that due to some pipeline construction tied to the gas well, THAT WE DON'T OWN, so don't think we are milking that bad boy. I wish though for sure that would be way cool. Talk about some enhancement to the track and trails for sure.

Anyways, it kills us to have to pass this along because we have been battling so much to get folks to support our trail system and now we have to place them on hold. I hope it won't be long. We are guessing maybe 2 weeks.

Please make sure to keep in touch via phone. If anything get on the Call before you haul promo for riding on the track until the trails are open again.

Take are and have a great weekend.

Trail Update 8-4-08

The gas right of way will cause a temporary detour of our South-side trails for 4 days or so starting this Monday.
All of H, all of I, and 1/2 of O will remain open. Z will be closed.
Signs will be out starting Sunday after closing and remain in place until the pipeline is buried.
Thanks for your understanding.

Starting tomorrow we are doing an evening session from 5PM-9PM. Since we do not have the website updated if you wish to come ride in the heat plus pending any rain tomorrow you are welcome to come at 1PM, BUT we will not be watering heavily until late afternoon preparing for the evening session.

Please check in at the building and we will guide you to either check in there or at the track. We are preparing for our race on Saturday so we will be back and forth throughout the day. Have a good one.
Just wanted to pass along that we cleared some branches and weeded pretty much all the trails. We will go back this week to clear various trees along the I and O loops.

We also have a trail map too.

http://www.youradventureinc.com/TMX%20Trail%20Map.pdf

Remember we have a race on Saturday the 21st and the trails will be closed but Sunday the 22nd. We will be closed.

We will have a promotion on Thursdays. There will be more details out soon but the big thing is $10 Thursdays for 1 month only each Thursday. New times will be posted to accomodate more folks.

Schedule Changes

I know it has been frustrating for riders to follow our changing schedule. We appologize for that. I had many requests to close on Monday to prep the track on Tuesday. We did that and did not have the riders to validate the rising cost of fuel it takes to prep and maintain water on the track for Tuesdays. Therefore, we decided to close on Mon/Tues for general public and open only to members. We still will have the trac prepped and watered on Thu/Sat/Sun.
If Mon/Tues is your only days off to ride, we would welcome you to join the membership. It is $75 for 3 months. You ride Mon/Tue at no add'l cost and other days it is $10. (If you come out 5 times during the 3 months on member days, it has paid for itself).
Please bear with us, as we are still in the learning phase. We haven't been open for a whole year as of yet, and are trying to please as many people as possible. This obviously isn't happening, therefore, we will keep the schedule as it is. The only change we plan on doing is changing our hours: possibly adding on another session on Thursday, and Saturday times are 9-3pm and Sundays are 9-4.
Thank you for your comments, suggestions and support
RE: This disappointment will be gotten over

I will still go out again when scheduling permits. You know I wont give up on TMX this easily. The intense bike prep the night before and the whole gas , time and anticipation thing had me a little tense on sunday and the trails being closed was the last straw. A lot of my issues are still valid and I know you are trying to address them. Maybe you could close the trails on 1 Saturday a month and have a scheduled work day? I could live with that. Since my health has improved I can finally help out some. You are close and the trails are pretty nice considering some of the challenges of the terrain you have to work with. I dont ride MX much so the track is for someone else to comment on.

RE: This disappointment will be gotten over

Again, Penquin I think you are upset and blowing things out of proportion. It is your opinion and duly noted. I have to say we do pretty much live at the park and yes 6AM was too early because we had not spotted the tree and the additional damage until about 8:00AM.

I would rather you be upset not being able to go out than have had you deal with multiple trees down and other areas not cleaned up to just have a similar type of comment stated that we allow folks on the trails that are even tighter and/or not clearing out trees, thorns, branches, etc.

Granted you and others may have been able to just ride right through some of those trees but again the safety of the all riders has to be our concern.

Good luck at Maypearl this weekend and come back to see us on the 21st to prepare for wherever the makeup race will be on the 28th. You just caught us on a bad weekend and the timing was bad on the communication. Once again, we do apologize for not being able to update the website but did have the voicemail updated that early morning, NOT 6AM unfortunately, but we did have it updated.

Have a good week. If anything touch base with me prior to coming out and we will take care of you and whomever was in the passenger seat with you when you came out. I understand the politics of the riding community but don't blow things out of proportion. The track is doing quite well. The dirt is really nice and has come along way. The trails when cleaned up are still tight in some areas for some folks but we are working on them as quickly as we can to open up some areas. We will still have some tight areas to keep it technical. The Z loop will be rockin soon as well. Even you are even remotely close during the week you may want to come out and see us on the 19th. We have good things coming down the pipe.
